Harvest Moon

Mid-September the moon was waxing to full so every evening David and I would go for a walk near the river to watch moonrise. Sarah wrote about a "Harvest Moon Festival" in China on the 15th so we went out once again to watch the moon rise and was it spectacular! It was a huge reddish moon and absolutely gorgeous. David took several great photos of it on the 15th and a few photos of moonrise the days before full moon. The best thing about watching moonrise on the 15th was to know that Sarah's family had watched it rise in China about 15 hours earlier - we may be far away, but we can still watch the same moon.
